Bergamo Lions return to Eurobowl
|
|
The Bergamo Lions defeated Swedish champions Stockholm Mean Machines 42-27 in the Semi Final, to advance to the 2005 Eurobowl championship game. The game is to be played the same as in 2004 against the Vienna Vikings, but this time the Lions are hoping for the results as in earlier years. The Lions were 3 times Eurobowl champions in 2000-01-02.

John Rosenberg new Bergamo Lions head coach

The Italian champion Bergamo Lions have named John Rosenberg as their Head Coach.
Rosenberg goes to Italy for the first time after many years as a successful Head Coach
and Defensive Coordinator in the German Football League. Bergamo has been the perennial champions of the Italian League, and won 3 consecutive Eurobowl championships in 2000, 2001, and 2002, and was runner-up in 1994 and 2004.

Former GFL stars finding success in indoor football

|
Two former Rhein Main Razorback players and their coach were honored yesterday, being named to that Atlantic Conference All Star team of the National Indoor Football League. Justin Peery and Scott Pingel who put up record numbers as members of the Rhein Main Razorbacks in 2001, teamed with former Razorback coach Mike Wyatt in leading the Show Me Believers to their best record in franchise history at 9-5. The season ended in the first-ever appearance by the team in the playoffs.

Black Hawks continue winning streak: 27:14 victory against the Fursty Razorbacks

This Sunday, it were the Deggendorf Black Hawks who celebrated their fourth victory in a row. The former division 2 champion Fursty Razorbacks were defeated due to an outstanding performance by Running Back Jan Pav, who scored three touchdowns, 27:14.

Wyatt named to indoor football post
|
|
Mike Wyatt, who spent the last six seasons as head football coach of the Rhein Main Razorbacks of the German Football League has been named as General Manager and Head Football Coach of the Show Me Believers of the National Indoor Football League. Wyatt will assume the position immediately and is actively pursuing players for the 2004 season which will begin in March.
